I am super picky about the books I read. Those that enthrall me must be very much out of the ordinary and have some reality to them as well as be heart touching.
"Things I want my daughters to know" by Elizabeth Noble has all that.
I do want my daughters to be comfortable learning and testing limits as I did with this little blankie.
No, the book isn't about blankies. It's about what happens to 4 girls, daughters of a mother who dies of cancer but has much to say to them still. She does it in letters and a journal she kept for them from the time she became ill.This blankie will go in the box of gifts I will give my daughters when they become mothers.
